Frequently Asked Questions
The Miniature Arms Society is an international organization dedicated to the collecting, study, preservation, and making of miniature firearms. Our members include collectors, craftsmen, historians, and enthusiasts from around the world.
Miniature arms are scaled-down firearms, often crafted in 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, or smaller scales. Many are fully functional mechanical reproductions of historical firearms, while others are artistic or non-firing display pieces.
Some miniature arms are fully functional and mechanically accurate reproductions of their full-sized counterparts. Others are non-firing display models created to showcase craftsmanship and historical detail.
Anyone with an interest in miniature firearms may join — whether you are a collector, a maker, a historian, or simply an admirer of fine craftsmanship. Join today!
Members receive the Miniature Arms Journal, access to classified ads, a library of plans, a membership directory, networking opportunities, and participation in Society exhibits.
The Miniature Arms Journal is published three times per year: April, August, and December.
